An older beachfront core, and a very consistent wind
Bloubergstrand's stretch of coast is the one on every Cape Town postcard — Table Mountain sitting flat across the water, photographed from the beach more than almost anywhere else in the city. It's also one of the world's more reliable kitesurfing and windsurfing spots, which tells you plainly what the south-easter does here through summer: it doesn't gust occasionally, it blows for days at a stretch.
